Boutique hotels in Manchester | Hotel Gotham
Looking for boutique hotels in Manchester? Well there is one hotel in particular that comes to mind. Hotel Gotham has been on my hotel bucket list for as long as I can remember and I was finally able to experience the 5 star hotel situated on King’s Street for my 27th Birthday.
Occupying one of the city’s grandest listed buildings and the former premises of Midland Bank, Hotel Gotham is a luxury 5 star hotel in the heart of Manchester. With only subtle nod’s to the Batman storyline and it’s previous banking past, this hotel holds more of a 1920’s, Art Deco feel with 60 bedrooms spread across seven floors, a restaurant and a bar.
The hotel has hosted many famous faces over the years, and it’s not hard to see why it’s a firm favourite in Manchester.
Let me show you around the beautiful hotel that is HOTEL GOTHAM.
This post is all about the ‘boutique hotels in Manchester‘, specifically Hotel Gotham.

Located in the centre of Manchester, Hotel Gotham is situated on King Street with Manchester’s Arcade Shopping Centre a quick 3 minute walk away.
- 13 minute walk from Piccadilly Station.

Upon entry to Hotel Gotham, you are greeted by bell boys who offer you a warm welcome before directing you to the main reception desk on the sixth floor.
You may decide to take the stairs or the lift.

Whilst there is no on-site parking at Hotel Gotham, there are several 24-hour car parks in the area which are walking distance from the hotel.

Once we arrived at the check in desk, we were offered a welcome drink from staff members. I have no idea what was in it, but it tasted like a Lychee Liquor, not too bitter and not too sweet - but extremely yummy.

Room 315: The Sir Charlton

As it was my birthday, I decided to treat myself to the Hotel Gotham Inner Sanctum Suite.

…and my goodness, isn’t he beautiful.

With black, leather-clad walls, no windows and a projected screen which projects a city skyline of your choice - this suite is definitely worth writing about.

Use the screen on the wall to pick out a city view of your choice, and set the ambience with music which plays from the speakers within the room.

The mini bar sits neatly in a disguised wardrobe, yet opens out to an espresso machine, matching his and her mugs for your morning cup of coffee & a mini fridge.

Double room at Hotel Gotham

My nan and Grandad stayed in the Double Room at Hotel Gotham and I quickly took a few photos so you could see the difference.

First thing in the morning, we took a short walk down to TROVE for Croissants and Coffee before bringing it back to the room
