Rest and Wild, Shropshire Hills.
Do you ever feel like you need a break? Whether it's from your stressful 9-5 corporate job, your very loved but super energetic children, or even finding space away from your partner (who despite telling them several times to kindly place their dirty plate in the dishwasher, still seems to gravitate to putting it in the sink! Is this anyone else's pet peeve?) Anyway, I digress. My point being is, we all reach a point where life can become overwhelming at times and I am a huge advocate for carving out a little me time to decompress and feel human again. This is where Rest and Wild comes in.
When we take time to recharge and unwind, we not only start to feel ourselves again but we also become better parents, partners and colleagues. As the saying goes, 'you can't pour from an empty cup'. Investing in your own wellbeing is not selfish - it's a necessity, and I think I have found the perfect place for you to carve out that well deserved 'me time'.
Tucked away in the heart of the Shropshire Hills, nestled within the Downton Hall Estate, lies Rest and Wild - a serene retreat offering four secluded Cabins. All uniquely named after birds species native to the local area: The Wren, The Robin, the Nightingale and the Sparrow sit beautifully upon the hills.
Imagine unwinding in your very own outdoor cooper bath, cup of tea in hand and surrounded by the Shropshire countryside. Whether you are seeking a romantic escape with your partner, a peaceful retreat to reconnect with a close friend, or a solo trip to recharge, Rest and Wild offers the perfect environment to recharge, rejuvenate and a way to wipe the week clean and start a fresh.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the Pizza Making Kit.
In my head, I imagined a cute date night idea for me and Zac to do together, before sitting around the camp fire with our homemade pizza.
The pizza-making and decorating part was fun, but unfortunately, things went downhill from there. Despite following the instructions carefully, the dough ended up sticking to everything, and the pizzas were pretty much inedible.
We must have been doing something wrong however, I've seen a few people mention the same problem.
Sadly, it was a waste of £30.00 and the pizza's ended up in the bin. Luckily, we had brought back up food but it certainly wasn't the cute little date night I had planned.

The next morning, we woke up to a Winter Wonderland.

Despite the cold, I was getting in that copper tub no matter what.
I sprinkled in the Lavender bath salts kindly provided by Rest and Wild and jumped in.
